My Darling, when we will be together in Heaven – Tristan And Isolde by Rogelio de Egusquiza

Tristan And Isolde by Rogelio de Egusquiza

The couple left their bodies to unite their souls in Heaven. In the skies, transparent to our eyes, and invisible to our senses, they merged into one, and will embrace for eternity.
She, wrapped in silk muslin, her chest revealing her porcelain breast, her heart now beating from beyond. He, his face tall and proud, willing to give himself entirely to the woman of his dreams, the one who lays inert over his own body. “Nothing will be painful anymore, my Darling, when we will be together in Heaven”, he whispers before taking one last breath. Too frail to emit a sound, Isolde reaches for Tristan’s hand, holding it while her eyes close.
Her head lies now on his heart, his love forever hers. This man she has desired in vain. Unable to live out their passion for one another during daylight, they have decided to disappear and love each other during the night. Hence, they whisper sweet poems to one another in the darkness of death, and will dance in the shadows of their previous life, for eternity.
