The shadows of the dawn, the people of the sun – Potentats d’ Imfirmités by Louis Soutter

Potentats d’ Imfirmités by Louis Soutter

They move, the shadows of the dawn. They dance and they celebrate, the people of the sun.
The voices blended with the percussions create a chaotic melody to which the half-naked bodies dance to. They chant the arrival of the sun, they will praise their golden treasure until it reaches its zenith.

They move, the shadows of the dawn. They dance and they celebrate, the people of the sun.
Focused, cleansed, and impregnated with the spirit of their ancestors, the people invoke their Lord with pride and trepidation.

They move, the shadows of the dawn. They dance and they celebrate, the people of the sun.
Crowns ornate their heads, weapons enhance their inner power, and joy twinkle in their eyes. From their faith and their beliefs, come their beauty.

They move, the shadows of the dawn. They dance and they celebrate, the people of the sun.
They barely slept. Their nightmares were inhabited by the incessant wandering of dark spirits. As night turns into day, the precious sun will chase away evil, depression, and worries, leaving a bright journey ahead for all.

They move, the shadows of the dawn. They dance and they celebrate, the people of the sun.
