She shines from within – Juerga flamenca en la feria by Manuel Rodriguez de Guzman

Juerga flamenca en la feria by Manuel Rodriguez de Guzman

As she walked across the village, a group of Gypsies halted the lady in green and pink in the backstreet alley.

She slowly moved her hips at the sound of the guitar and instantly changed her facial expression at the sound of the castanets.

Her: pale skinned, wearing flamboyant shiny fabrics, and sporting expensive jewellery. Them:, their skins withered by the touch of the sun, wearing multi-coloured exotic fabrics and unveiling the most beautiful attributes there can be- a smile in their eyes and enchantment and passion in their hearts.

The lady, attracted to the charm of their music and the charisma of their people could not resist accompanying the gypsies during their chanting and dancing performance.

Under the eyes of her friends and curious passers-by, she found herself lifting her arms into the air, moving her feet hastily, revealing her ankles to the public, and giving subtle and audacious looks to the timid spectators.

She had heard them before, not knowing where these mesmerising tunes could come from. Spellbound, today she decided to follow her heart by taking small uncertain steps towards the rapid rhythm of the music and charming melodies, embarking with her the group from the court who always accompanied her when she trespassed the limits of the village.

Her heart has opened up, using her lips and her eyes to express how liberated and content she now feels.

She shines from within. She shines from within and in her new language transmits her joy. She shines from within and in her new language transmits her joy, wishing this moment could last eternally.
